Pastor Alvin Taggart, is a Christian Educator and a Counselor, who is a catalyst for positive change through his dedication to teaching scriptures.
He received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree from Revelation Message Bible College in Jacksonville, Florida. He continued his education by completing his Master of Ministry degree in Christian Education from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida. In 2018, Pastor Taggart received a Doctorate in Ministry of Christian Counseling Degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Pastor Taggart surrendered his will to the Lord and accepted the call to ministry in 2007. Pastor Taggart was licensed and preached his first sermon in 2007 entitled, "The Man in the Mirror," taken from Ecclesiastes Chapter 1. After a few years of faithful service, he was ordained on September 6, 2009. He served as Associate Minister at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church for many years. In 2015, a pastoral search was underway and God had favor on Pastor Taggart. He was voted in as pastor of Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church on December 5, 2015.
Pastor Taggart was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Forrest City, Arkansas and is the fourth son of the late Deacon, Lee O. Taggart, Sr. and Mrs. Mary A. Taggart. He is married to Jeanette (Ford) Taggart of Forrest City, AR and has 8 children.
